Does HGH slow aging?

Growth hormone is produced by the pituitary gland — a pea-sized structure at the base of the brain — to fuel childhood growth and help maintain tissues and organs throughout life. Beginning in middle age, however, the pituitary gland slowly reduces the amount of growth hormone it produces.

This natural slowdown has prompted an interest in the use of synthetic human growth hormone (HGH) to stave off some of the changes that occur with age, such as decreased muscle and bone mass.

If you're skeptical, good for you. There's little evidence to suggest human growth hormone can help otherwise healthy adults regain youth and vitality. In fact, experts recommend against using HGH to treat aging or age-related conditions.
Do some adults need human growth hormone?

Yes. Adults who have true growth hormone deficiency — not the expected decline in growth hormone due to aging — may be prescribed synthetic human growth hormone by their doctors.

Growth hormone deficiency in adults is rare and may be caused by pituitary adenoma — a tumor on the pituitary gland — or treatment of the adenoma with surgery or radiotherapy. For adults who have a growth hormone deficiency, injections of human growth hormone can:

    Increase exercise capacity
    Increase bone density
    Increase muscle mass
    Decrease body fat

Human growth hormone is also approved to treat adults with short bowel syndrome or AIDS- or HIV-related muscle wasting.
What can human growth hormone do for healthy adults?

Studies of healthy adults taking human growth hormone are limited. Although it appears that human growth hormone can increase muscle mass and reduce the amount of body fat in healthy older adults, the increase in muscle doesn't translate into increased strength. It isn't clear if human growth hormone may provide other benefits to healthy adults.

What are the risks of taking human growth hormone if you don't need it?

Human growth hormone may cause a number of side effects for healthy adults, including:

    Carpal tunnel syndrome
Swelling in the arms and legs
    Joint and muscle pain
For men, enlargement of breast tissue (gynecomastia)

Human growth hormone may also contribute to conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease.

Some research suggests that side effects of human growth hormone treatments may be more likely in older adults than in younger people. Because the studies of healthy adults taking human growth hormone have been short term, it isn't clear whether the side effects could eventually dissipate or become worse.
Does human growth hormone come in pill form?

Human growth hormone is typically administered as an injection under the skin. Some websites sell a pill form of human growth hormone and claim that it produces results similar to the injected form of the drug. Sometimes these dietary supplements are called human growth hormone releasers. However, there's no proof that these claims are true. Likewise, there's no proof that homeopathic remedies claiming to contain human growth hormone work.
What's the bottom line?

If you have specific concerns about aging, ask your doctor about proven ways to improve your health. Remember, healthy lifestyle choices — such as eating a healthy diet and including physical activity in your daily routine — can help you feel your best as you get older.

Human growth hormone (HGH) Does it slow aging?

Human growth hormone is described by some as the key to slowing the aging process. Before you sign up, get the facts.

Growth hormone linked to signs of aging

The decreased production of growth hormone is caused by a physiological process known as somatopause, which practically affects the entire body, since it's involved in body composition, metabolism, bone mineral density and cardiovascular function.

It is from the fourth decade of life that levels of growth hormone secreted naturally by the body begin to decline, which may manifest in signs of aging, such as narrowing of the spine and lack of dynamism.

While growth hormone determines the height of children, it also intervenes when growth is complete. It has been documented that, for example, in the case of the heart (which is structurally a muscle), those who have a deficit in growth hormone may have reduced life expectancy by the accelerated loss of muscle mass.

It even has an effect on the morale and intellectual status. Because of all these symptoms the quality of life decreases and adults who are deficient in growth hormone complain about discouragement, tiredness and lack of dynamism. In particular cases, some may experience depression and social isolation.

On the metabolic function of the body, the specialist said that studies show that in the first years of life growth hormone is very active; however, when their natural levels drop, the assimilation of proteins, lipids and carbohydrates is affected, and therefore, the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides.

By administering recombinant human growth hormone to adults (between 40 and 80 years of age) with GH deficiency, protein synthesis increases in almost all the cells of the body, coupled with the favored mobilization of fatty acids in Adipose tissue, which increases the amount of free fatty acids in blood and its use as an energy source. It also decreases the amount of glucose used throughout the body resulting in an increase of lean body mass.Administration of such therapy has been shown to improve overall physical strength and sense of wellbeing, which translates in improved quality of life but the specialists are the ones who must evaluate each case personally.

The use of recombinant human growth hormone should be measured and monitored by specialists in endocrinology, who must perform a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether the clinical characteristics of the person correspond to the clinical data for growth hormone deficiency and then consider if the adult has a healthy diet, physical activity habits and appropriate life style.

Aging Changes in Hormone Production

The endocrine system is made up of organs and tissues that produce hormones. Hormones are natural chemicals produced in one location, released into the bloodstream, then used by other target organs and systems.

The hormones control the target organs. Some organ systems have their own internal control systems along with, or instead of, hormones.

As we age, changes naturally occur in the way that body systems are controlled. Some target tissues become less sensitive to their controlling hormone. The amount of hormones produced may also change.

Blood levels of some hormones increase, some decrease, and some are unchanged. Hormones are also broken down (metabolized) more slowly.

Many of the organs that produce hormones are, in turn, controlled by other hormones. Aging also changes this process. For example, an endocrine tissue may produce less of its hormone than it did at a younger age, or it may produce the same amount at a slower rate.

AGING CHANGES

The hypothalamus is located in the brain. It produces hormones that control the other structures in the endocrine system. The amount of these regulating hormones stays about the same, but the response by the endocrine organs can change as we age.

The pituitary gland is also located in the brain. This gland reaches its maximum size in middle age and then gradually becomes smaller. It has two parts:

The back (posterior) portion stores hormones produced in the hypothalamus.
The front (anterior) portion produces hormones that affect the thyroid gland (TSH), adrenal cortex, ovaries, testes, and breasts.

The thyroid gland is located in the neck. It produces hormones that help control metabolism. With aging, the thyroid may become lumpy (nodular). Metabolism slows over time, beginning at around age 20. Because thyroid hormones are produced and broken down (metabolized) at the same rate, thyroid function tests usually show results within the normal range.

The parathyroid glands are four tiny glands located around the thyroid. Parathyroid hormone affects calcium and phosphate levels, which affect the strength of the bones. Parathyroid hormone levels rise with age, which may contribute to osteoporosis.

Insulin is produced by the pancreas. It helps sugar (glucose) go from the blood to the inside of cells, where it can be used for energy.

The average fasting glucose level rises 6 to 14 mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter) for each 10 years after age 50. This is because the cells become less sensitive to the effects of insulin.

The adrenal glands are located just above the kidneys. The adrenal cortex, the surface layer, produces the hormones aldosterone and cortisol.

Aldosterone regulates fluid and electrolyte balance.
Cortisol is the "stress response" hormone. It affects the breakdown of glucose, protein, and fat, and has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy effects.

Aldosterone release decreases with age, which can contribute to light-headedness and a drop in blood pressure with sudden position changes (orthostatic hypotension). Cortisol release also decreases with aging, but the blood level of this hormone stays about the same. Dehydroepiandrosterone levels also drop, although the effects of this drop on the body are not clear.

The ovaries and testes have two functions. They produce the reproductive cells (ova and sperm). They also produce the sex hormones that control secondary sex characteristics, such as breasts and facial hair.

With aging, men sometimes experience a slightly decreased level of testosterone.
Women have decreased levels of estradiol and other estrogen hormones after menopause.

EFFECT OF CHANGES

Overall, some hormones are decreased, some unchanged, and some increased with age. Hormones that are usually decreased include:

    Aldosterone
    Calcitonin
    Growth hormone
    Renin

In women, estrogen and prolactin levels usually decrease significantly.

Hormones that remain unchanged or only slightly decreased include:

    Cortisol
    Epinephrine
    Insulin
    Thyroid hormones T3 and T4

Testosterone levels usually decrease slightly as men age.

Hormones that may increase include:

    Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
    Luteinizing hormone (LH)
    Norepinephrine
    Parathyroid hormone

Aging Changes in the Male Reproductive System

Aging changes in the male reproductive system may include changes in testicular tissue, sperm production, and erectile function. These changes usually occur gradually.

Unlike women, men do not experience a major, rapid (over several months) change in fertility as they age (like menopause). Instead, changes occur gradually during a process that some people call andropause.

Aging changes in the male reproductive system occur primarily in the testes. Testicular tissue mass decreases and the level of the male sex hormone testosterone stays the same or decreases very slightly. There may be problems with erectile function. However, this is a general slowing, rather than a complete lack of function.

Fertility:

The tubes that carry sperm may become less elastic (a process called sclerosis). The testes continue to produce sperm, but the rate of sperm cell production slows. The epididymis, seminal vesicles, and prostate gland lose some of their surface cells but continue to produce the fluid that helps carry sperm.

Urinary function:

The prostate gland enlarges with age as some of the prostate tissue is replaced with a scarlike tissue. This condition, called benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), affects about 50% of men. This may cause problems with slowed urination, as well as with ejaculation.

In both men and women, reproductive system changes are closely related to changes in the urinary system.

EFFECT OF CHANGES

Fertility varies from man to man, and age is not a good predictor of male fertility. Prostate function is not closely related to fertility, and a man can father children even if his prostate gland has been removed. Some fairly old men can (and do) father children.

The volume of fluid ejaculated usually remains the same, but there are fewer living sperm in the fluid.

Decreases in the sex drive (libido) may occur in some men. Sexual responses may become slower and less intense. This may be related to decreased testosterone level, but it may also result from psychological or social changes related to aging (such as the lack of a willing partner), illness, chronic conditions, or medications.

Aging by itself does not prevent a man from being able to enjoy sexual relationships.

COMMON PROBLEMS

Erectile dysfunction (ED) may be a concern for aging men. It is normal for erections to occur less frequently than when a man was younger, and aging men often have less ability to experience repeated ejaculation. However, ED is most often the result of a medical or psychological problem rather than simple aging, and 90% of ED is believed to be of medical rather than psychological origin.

Medications (especially those used to treat hypertension and certain other conditions) can cause some men to be unable to develop or maintain enough of an erection for intercourse. Disorders such as diabetes can also cause ED.

Erectile dysfunction that is caused by medications or illness is often successfully treated. Talk to your primary health care provider or a urologist if you are concerned about this condition.

BPH may eventually interfere with urination. The enlarged prostate partially blocks the tube that drains the urinary bladder (urethra). Changes in the prostate gland make elderly men more likely to have urinary tract infections.

Backup of urine into the kidneys (vesicoureteral reflux) may develop if the bladder is not fully drained. If this is not treated, it can eventually lead to kidney failure.

Prostate gland infections or inflammation ( prostatitis) may also occur.

Prostate cancer becomes more common as men age. It is one of the most frequent causes of cancer death in men. Bladder cancer also becomes more common with age. Testicular cancers are possible, but these occur more often in younger men.

PREVENTION

Many physical age-related changes, such as prostate enlargement or testicular atrophy, are not preventable. Getting treatment for health disorders (such as high blood pressure and diabetes) that lead to changes in urinary and sexual health may prevent later problems with urinary and sexual function.

Changes in sexual response are most often related to factors other than simple aging. Older men are more likely to have good sex if they have continued to have sexual activity during middle age.

How To Fight Aging

As a rule, we do not want to think about aging while we face it “suddenly” in the middle of our life. American scientists have obtained interesting data when they tried to establish the date of beginning of human aging. It turned out that process of aging begins at 27 years old! Thus after childhood finishes the aging begins.

Most intensive period of mental and intellectual activity of humans is at 22 years old, but in five years begins process of aging. Then in ten years man faces with such irreversible process as memory impairment. Sadly, but aging is our future. Can we somehow influence on this process? We can.

First, an important role plays self-suggestion. For instance, when a man believes that with age human memory aggravates, then exactly this thing occurs with him. However, if we do not have stereotypes about personal aging then with great likelihood ratio we will not lose the ability for intellectual development.

Scientists went to even greater lengths and proved that everything depends on human desires, or in other words, always there must be plans and objectives for the future. Aging comes when a man loses interest in life, his desires fade away and the man stops striving for something new preferring resting.

Major secret of victory over aging is hidden in orientation of this inner motion. The point is that the man should not just strive for achievement of a particular egoistic purposes as it brings short satisfaction only to him, but he must take into account another people's needs.

Besides this, it is important to interact with society for achievement of common positive aims. Such approach may practically revoke aging and make life happier for many years!

Gray Hair And Senescence

Gray hair is considered a sign of senescence. However, it is false statement. Gray hair is a sign of hair aging and rarely is a sign of whole body aging. Hair canities with age is a normal thing.

First singular gray hairs appear at 35 – 40 years old. After 40 years the number of gray hair increases and in males hair canities on temples is followed with canities of hair on beard and mustache. At the later stage eyebrows hair turns gray.

Declinations from specified hair canities order occur rarely, instead age-related declinations occur quite often. There are many eldery people with no gray har at all.

Hair canities depends on the hair color. As a rule, brunets turn gray earlier than blond people. Causes of hair canities are not known yet. Discoloring or pigment loss along with appearing or severe increase of air bubbles in hair is possible cause.

Japanese scientist Kukkawa claims that hair color depends on metals it contains. He found iron, copper and nickel in hair of all colors. Thus in light hair is prevalent nickel and titanium, in dark hair – copper, iron and cobalt, in brown hair – iron and molybdenum. Gray hair contains only nickel.

3 Signs of Aging

Aging signs are not only those visible on face. Most important signs are hidden inside human body. How should you understand that you age earlier than you must to? What should you do to turn back time?

1. Strength
If you have noticed that you do not have enough strength for daily activities – it is first sign that you age more rapidly than you should.
What to do?
Work on your strength. For example, squeeze small rubber ball for about 90 seconds three times a day. Even small everyday loads would add several years to your life.

2. Balance
The ability to maintain balance is one more sign of a healthy and young body. If you stand unsteady on your legs you risk to fall. Loss of balance and falling are major causes of death from traumas when falling among older women.
What to do?
Make next exercise for legs: stand 10 seconds on a leg than on another three times a day. With time, you may increase time and even try to make this exercise with closed eyes.

3. Memory

Memory is retention and further reproduction of feelings, thoughts and images, objects and phenomenon perceived by a man.
Memory processes:
1) Remembering. During this process we find out something new by binding with early acquired knowledge.
2) Retention. This process in connected with specification of importance of any given information.
3) Reproduction. During this process knowledge is taken from permanent memory and is transmitted to operative memory.
With age we lose memory because of deficiency of mental exercises or inactivity. If you don't train area of brain responsible for memory, then this function breaks.
What to do?
Do not write on paper list of products you need to buy in the market. Try to remember it. Train your memory by remembering as much information as possible and then reproduce it.

Theories on the Causes of Aging

There exists several theories explaining the process of aging. Each specific case has its specific factor or sometimes their combination.

1) Programmed aging (theory of circadian rhythm). Aging of cells is programmed on genetic level. The number of possible cell splittings are put by the nature once and forever. When cells begin to die faster than to restore themselves, body organs cannot perform all their essential functions anymore.

2) Genetic theory. Cells contain a substance that destroys them at chromosomal level.

3) Structural theory. With age occurs aggravation of condition of connective tissue - it loses its firmness and elasticity which leads to irreversible changes.

4) Theory of free radicals is most popular theory today. The theory suggests that chemical reactions in cells lead to formation of free radicals which cause damage and death of cells. With time the number of dead and non-functional cells increases which breaks work of the whole body.

5) Immunologic theory. With age immune system weakens. Body becomes more vulnerable to infectious diseases and disorders which finally leads to death. Weakening of immune system leads to triggering of autoimmune responses – body detects its own cells as foreign ones and destroys them.

Age-Related Changes

Starting from middle age, human body starts experiencing difficulties with daily loads, as physical and mental abilities gradually fall down. In developed countries an average lifespan is 70 years. In fact, a human can live 120 years, but failures in work of various body systems, which occur in second part of life, do prevent this.

Age-related changes lead to chronic and sometimes to fatal illnesses. Most vulnerable are cardiovascular, digestive, nervous and reproductive systems. Most common age-related diseases are Alzheimer's disease, osteoarthritis, cancer, diabetes, depression and heart diseases.

Peak of growth and maturation of human body occurs at the age of 25, then follow natural processes of maturity and aging. Some age-related changes are beard hardly, but they not always do transform a man into feeble old man. Specific nature of aging process depend on health condition, lifestyle and genetic predisposition of a man.

Aging process is followed by the next changes:
  • hearing impairment (especially it becomes difficult to hear high tones)
  • increase of fatty tissues in comparison with muscular ones (the correlation may be 30%). Subcutis, which previously was distributed through the whole body, now becomes thin and as a result fat is accumulated in abdomen area. Human body loses its ability to intensively diffuse fats (including cholesterol and fat-soluble substances) and they are accumulated in the body.
  • water reduction in the body, which leads to aggravation of water-soluble materials absorption. Body reduces production of saliva and other moisturizing liquids
  • aggravation of liver and kidneys work, as a result in the body are accumulated harmful products of metabolism
  • aggravation of digestion due to lowering of gastric acid production
  • musculature weakening, aggravation of motion coordination, reduction of movability, dexterity and flexibility
  • reduction of sex hormones production, sexual function lowering
  • changes in cardiovascular and respiratory systems lead to aggravation of delivery of oxygen and nutrient substances to organs and systems of the body
  • aggravation of nervous system work. Signals from brain are transmitted not so effectively as before. Reflexes slow down, memory and ability of new information perception get reduced
  • reduction of thickness of bony tissue and strength of bones
  • gradual decline of hormones production especially thyroid and sex hormones
  • visual deterioration
  • reduction of natural production of Vitamin D

Health Benefits of Pumpkin

Flavored pumpkin flesh is rich in vitamins such as:
  • ascorbic acid, which would save you from autumn colds;
  • vitamins of B group, which would save you not just from fatigue, irritancy and insomnia but also would make your hair and skin healthy;
  • vitamins A and E, which help to fight wrinkles and premature aging;
  • vitamin K, which is beneficial for blood coagulability and it cannot be found in other vegetables.
Pumpkin is rich in vitamin T and due to this it may be called best topping to beef, pork and other fat foods as vitamin T helps to uptake junk food and prevents from obesity. This property makes pumpkin favorite vegetable of dieticians who recommend it to people who want to lose weight. Also pumpkin is rich in iron and therefore people who love pumpkin always have good complexion and are in high spirits.

It is considered that pumpkin juice helps males to maintain their sexual tonus. Experts say that pumpkin helps not only to solve sexual problems but also it helps to fight many serious diseases. Probably, there is no more healthy vegetable for people suffering from cardiovascular diseases. Rich in potassium, pumpkin improves work of heart, strengthens vessels and relieves from edema.

Pumpkin seeds are rich in unsaturated fatty acids which reduce level of bad cholesterol in blood and protect heart and vessels. Also pumpkin seeds contain:
  • vitamin D need for strong bones and uptake of calcium
  • zinc need for healthy skin, hair, nails and strong immunity
  • magnesium need for good working of heart and nervous system and also it helps to normalize arterial pressure
Pumpkin seeds improve appetite and accelerate wound healing. Psychologists recommend people who want to give up smoking to eat pumpkin seeds. It is considered that this process may kill desire for smoking. It would be better not to fry seeds as they lose their healthy properties.

Pomegranate Prevents from Heart Disease

Pomegranate is a real natural elixir which helps to prevent heart disease and also has many other healthy properties, say researchers from Spain. Large scale research showed that pomegranate extract, which consists of seeds and skin, improves work of brain, muscles, liver, and also it slows down aging process!

During the experiment 60 volunteers took daily a pill with pomegranate extract. Researchers examined activity of chemical agents in their bodies and compared it with results obtained from people who took placebo.

Healthy properties of pomegranate are explained with reduction of oxidative processes into the body which destroy DNA. Most interesting thing is that rich with healthy properties in pomegranate are non-edible parts of fruit which are found in juice or extract.

If we consider senescence as process of acidification and DNA destruction then pomegranate consumption may be considered one of effective anti-aging products, claim researchers.

Pomegranate is known for centuries for its healthy properties. It contains vitamins A, C, E, ferrum and antioxidants – substances which do neutralize harmful free radicals which provoke destructive processes in human body.

Is there Cure for Senescence?

There exist no medications to stop natural process of aging. However, the picture is different when the talk is about infirmities of age. Treatment of such diseases usually helps to slow their development and ease their treatment. However, full recovery is impossible.

When aged person wants to be cheerful and youthful, he must take care about his health. One of the most important requirements here is balanced nutrition. It is recommended to consume food frequently in small portions. It is not recommended to consume fat food.

To maintain good physical form it is necessary to make exercises, to walk, to swim, to work in the garden, to use stairs instead of elevator. Also is required mental “training”. Reading, self-improvement, learning foreign languages help to fight premature senescence.

Senescence is not a disease and doctors cannot prevent you from it. In issues about life length are interested people in their older age. The more older person is, the more disorders he has. Moreover, the more older man is, the more often he suffers from chronic diseases. Even if a man feels himself quite good, it is necessary to measure arterial pressure, check cardiac performance, vision and hearing.

Older people may suffer from mental illnesses. People die after they achieve older age. Cells become poor, body ages and fades away. However, few people die naturally from aging. Often people die from a disease which their weak body couldn't fight.

When does aging begin?
Organs in human body age at different times. Some organs age more rapidly, some more slowly, for example, first signs of intervertebral disks aging do appear in children. At 50 years in women ovarian function gets broken and hormonal balance changes. On the average, first signs of senescence appear at 50 – 70 years and with time become more emphatic.

Men's Sex Drive And Age

Age is a dodge. When males are young and full of power, they think that ages of 40 – 60 are very far. When male approaches 40s he thinks it is enough time till he gets 50. However, time runs extraordinarily fast and every man at older age wants to have passionate and faery sex as in youth.

Specialists say males with age suffer from sexual apathy and the number of sexual intercourses get reduced not just in couples who lived many years together but also in young ones. Specialists say that this is a result of sexual revolution of 70s and beginning of feminism that made males feel fear of being accused of sex abuse.

However, there is another opinion that peaceful and comfortable life makes males more weak and womanish because testosterone production lowers.

Some specialists claim that when male has no physiological problems then the problem is hidden in psychology.

Sex without love
Psychologists claim that sex without love based only on physiological satisfaction prevents from true sensations and pleasure, and also weakens male morally and makes him feel empty. However, sometimes male needs to have this sort of sex to blow off, but it is not recommended to have it permanently. Try to avoid sex with occasional partners in your life.

Each person is in want of love and this need must be satisfied. Moreover, allowing yourself romantic feelings you must know how to talk about them without any shame because inability to sound your feelings is considered a psychiatric disorder.

It is not a secret that sexual relations enrich life in many ways. With age people acquire experience. It means with age many things depend on you – if you really want sex you may do it. You must do it.

A woman, that is permanent male sexual partner for years, may arise in him same sexual desire as in youth if she wants it. She must throw away her hang-ups about her age, forget about grumpiness and everyday routine, and should refresh memories about love, soft words, desire to give pleasure to her man and to get pleasure herself from intimacy with her partner.

It is important for the man to feel sure of himself in any domain of his life. So the woman who supports confidence in her man is infinitely right. Remember that doubting in male's abilities greatly cools down sexual desire.

Sexual Health In Older Age

Peak of sexual activity in males occurs from 16 to 20 years of age. In females it occurs other than in males, their sexual activity gradually increases till 55 – 60 years of age and then it lowers a little. Lowering of male sexual function to a certain degree is associated with lowering of testosterone in the blood by almost 50% at the ages 25 – 75, that is absolutely normal part of aging process, but this not means that this process is irreversible and there is no chance to restore sexual function.

Main difference in potency of a young male and older one is merely in the fact that at a young age potency causes arousal and at older age vise versa – arousal causes potency.

Do not think that potency decrease at older age is an inevitable process because there are many causes of its lowering, for example past diseases, some medications, stress, etc. Regular sexual life (including masturbation) helps to maintain sexual activity at older age.

Studies show that males at older age have sex from 1 to 6 times a week. Normal changes in males at older age:
- penis elasticity reduction and lowering of penis size during erection
- increases time of achieving erection
- feeling of ejaculation coming is subsided
- penis relaxes rapidly after orgasm and as a result more time for new erection is needed

The Impact Of Past Diseases On Sexual Function
Remember that none of diseases may cause total loss of sexual function. Cardio-vascular diseases and past heart attacks make males refuse from sex, for they fear new heart attacks. You should know that that is wrong believe. However, it is necessary to consult a doctor about sexual life.

Diabetes
In case diabetes is not diagnosed and treated, it may lead to impotence development.

Arthritis
This disease may lead to restrictions in sexual activity because of joint pains. Various exercises, heat baths, sufficient sleep will help to maintain body in good form. Pains usually occur in morning and evening time. All that is about mild forms of arthritis because severe forms of arthritis cause so intense pains in joints that it is impossible to make sex.

Prostate gland removal
Today operations on prostate gland removal are performed with retaining nerve-endings running to the penis. As a result this operation rarely leads to impotence. Normally, are possible temporal post-operation changes with further sexual function restoring.

Medications

Antidepressants, tranquilizers, drugs lowering high blood pressure may lead to impotence. Some medications may cause ejaculation deficiency in men and loss of sexual desire in women. But theses processes are reversible after you stop taking particular medication.

Erectile Dysfunction And Aging

All nations in all times knew that penis should be erected in a normal man, and as a result he will have no problems with women, and the main thing, it means that will be family continuation. If penis is not erected, then it is necessary to make him stand! In modern world it is not a problem.

Are impotence and erectile dysfunction one and the same thing?

Yes. Impotence is an old term that was replaced by a new one that is more true and less offensive. Erectile dysfunction is an inability to have erection or inability to maintain it during intercourse. It should be said that problems with erection sometimes occur in men. With the increase of years those problems may become permanent.

Does this mean that erectile dysfunction is an inevitable result of aging?

With years men observe that their erection weakens and for achieving orgasm they need more time than before. You should not mix up these normal aging changes with the disease. Erectile dysfunction is inevitable when aging. When this occurs it may be corrected and treated.

What causes erectile dysfunction?

Erectile dysfunction is a common term for all disorders that interfere with physiological processes necessary for erection. Diseases such as arterial hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, stress may cause problems with erection. Weight loss, smoking, depressions, alcohol may also cause erectile dysfunction problems.

So, erectile dysfunction is considered:

  • mild when problems do sometimes occur

  • moderate when problems occur in 50% cases. Man gets very nervous, his sexual life not brings him satisfaction but he tries to maintain it.

  • severe when of 5 intercourses just one is without problems. Man tries to avoid sex.

For centuries men did not bear with impotence and they looked for methods to overcome it. Ancient Greek doctors recommended to infuse fern seed and keep penis in decoction several hours daily. Egyptians used decoction made from flowers of hibiscus and its live magenta color symbolized penis filled with blood.

Tibet is ahead of the whole planet. From Ancient times in the mountains of Tibet are known impotence remedies. Those remedies (so effective that they are used even today) consist of threads of the Chinese silkworm, antlers of Tibetan deers (cut from upper layer of horns of young deers), berries from wolfberry, royal jelly and other natural components gathered in Tibet mountains. Monks mixed them in different proportions. Such ancient remedies could not just provide cure from sexual disorders, but special ancient methods could help to increase penis length! Getting from monks remedies treating sexual weakness was a luck even for Chinese emperors. In modern medicine Tibetan remedies for sexual disorders treatment gain recognition among doctors for their safety, effectiveness and absence of side effects and today they even replace medications.

Senescence Pill

Scientists from Albert Einstein College of Medicine work on a super pill that would treat patients with Alzheimer disease, diabetes, heart diseases, and to prolong life up to 100 years, writes Daily Mail. Scientists have identified three genes that provide a long and healthy life and also prevent from course of diseases connected with body aging. This helped them to create senescence pill.

People, whose DNA contains those three genes, 80% rarely suffer from Alzheimer disease. Also those genes do protect humans from dangerous effects of smoking , poor diet, obesity and lack of physical exercise. Works on creating such super pill are made in several laboratories. Scientists want to find a formula which will imitate activity of these genes.

In 2009, in India, was tested a cheap medication that helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes. Test showed that this pill lowers 80% risk of heart diseases, it is safe for the body and digests well. The pill consists of folic acid and five active pharmacological components that are available separately: aspirin and statin that lower cholesterol level in blood and three components lowering blood pressure.

In 2009 also was discovered that antifungal rapamycin has properties of elixir of life. Rapamycin is found in soil and is produced by soil bacteria. Today medications having rapamycin are used as immunosuppressants preventing human body from rejecting transplant organs.

During an experiment, American researchers gave rapamycin to mice who reached eldery in 20 months that corresponds to a man of 60 years. As a result, life time increased 38% in does and 28% in toms. Scientists say that such rapamycin effect is achieved because the medication blocks TOR protein work regulating cellular metabolism, cells growth and protein production.
